Think Tank Thursday:: Greenpeace leads war against coal
Peter Freyberg, chief executive of Xstrata Coal, says in this news article that ”destroying one country’s coal industry is not an appropriate response to concerns about the climate change impact of coal”
Our thoughts – it’s not realistic to simply put a stop to coal mining and growing exports – on the other hand though – we are facing significant environmental, and climate change concerns that will affect future society…
Question: What could be an appropriate response? Any thoughts on short term and long term solutions?
